These two factors play a big part on where you can paddle, and they change daily. Our main Island Atsena Otie is OPEN WATER, if the wind speed is to high we are not permitted to launch in that area. In order to ensure a safe paddle, we need you to be be mindful of the weight limits for kayaks. If you exceed 275lbs you will need certain equipment to suit you best . Please call (352) 665-1276 so we can inform you on what boats are best.

Cedar Key is very tidal year round. More so in the Winter time, we have negative tides. Wind direction plays a part also with the tides, it can pull water out quicker or bring it in faster. The tide can effect your paddle greatly if your in the wrong area or depending on where you want to launch. PLEASE CALL before booking with any questions. Tides change twice a day, we want you to enjoy your paddle so we are here to help by informing you on daily conditions. (352) 665-1276
